Change your frequency buddy......

Why do drug addicts hang around with fellow drug addicts? Why do spiritual satsang-attendees hang around with similar-minded people? What is the Page 3 culture all about with everybody who’s part of it talking about dress, stress and less? Why do some people attract wealth wherever they go and whatever they do? Why do we find ourselves sometimes thinking the same thought throughout the week or month? Why is it that some people always have a knack of getting into trouble, like Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth, and why do some always attract success, like Dhoni? The answer lies in an oft-repeated and randomly-used word: frequency.

We all have a frequency. We operate on one. Our frequency is determined by our breathing rate, and this frequency determines the vibration of the atoms inside us. Everything – living, non-living, animate, inanimate - vibrates because everything comprises atoms. When one person’s vibration is harmonious with another’s, they exclaim, “Oh, we share a similar frequency!”Or “we vibe well” or “our tuning matches”.

In other words, we use physics terms like ‘frequency’, ‘vibration’, ‘tuning’, etc., in our everyday lingo without really understanding the true meaning of the sentences. Put another way, we end up using words that actually denote the big truth, but we simply don’t realise that.

So, two people resonating similarly will have similar interests, tastes, etc., and those whose frequencies don’t match, will have cat-fights galore. “Oh they just can’t ‘get along’ with each other” we say. ‘Get along’ or in other words, ‘resonate’. Likewise, if a person’s frequency resonates with the frequency of a book, that book will become that person’s ‘favourite’ book. Ditto with chair (my favourite chair), food item, toy, corner, etc.

Operating on a set frequency can also give rise to attachments. For instance, different activities or thought processes– like spirituality, sex, reading, gossiping, gambling, cleaning, etc. - have different frequencies. Ordinarily speaking, we call this ‘addiction’. Have you seen people who cannot get sleep without getting their daily dose of gossip? How about those who are addicted to talking and thinking about sex? Then there are some people who are addicted to being scrupulously clean. They keep on cleaning everything. We also call this OCD – Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour.

All these categories of people are ‘frequency-victims’ ie. they are like damaged long-playing records that keeps tripping on a particular point while rotating on the spindle. They will continue to operate on the same frequency as if on autopilot till something happens that suddenly changes their frequency. A typical example would be people who start behaving completely differently from their usual self, after witnessing the death of a close one.

If you find yourself doing an activity repeatedly and want to get rid of that habit, practise slow breathing. A simple way to do this is to watch your breathing – as the air goes in and comes out of your nostrils. Just the act of watching will slow down your breathing. Prolonged differential rate of breathing will change your frequency will snap you out of your addiction.

Remember, there are only two truths in this world – one is you breathe; the other is you will die. Death is not in your hands, but breathing definitely is. It is up to you how correctly you want to breathe. Well, the yogic science of pranayama is all about that, isn’t it?

Human Behaviour

You must have learnt in your primary or higher secondary that if you knew the algorithm for a problem/machine, you can provide it necessary inputs to get the desired outputs. Same is the case with human behaviour. If you can predict the behaviour of a human being, you can predict how he/she will react to a given set of stimuli. Now for an instance, consider a country like ours. As far as I have observed, the decision making pattern in our society(in majority of the cases)

Love

Love is, as per my opinion, resistance to change.

An emotional creature, like human being, gets emotionally attached to any person(or thing). For instance, an year before, we decided to leave our old house and move to a new house at a different location. That house had all the memories of my life I have had lived till now. So that was the change I desperately was trying to resist.

But we had to move on. In this case, the emotional bond is one sided, as non – living things don’t respond. Even though it is so strong.

Then you can imagine about the bond between two living beings. Bonds between you and your parents, your friends. These bonds grow stronger with time. And the harder you try to resist them with time. It is human tendency to get dependent to his surroundings.

Everything in life is exponential.

Everything in life is exponential. You might have observed that certain people who perform(a task) well once, have a higher probability (and need less effort) to perform next time and vice versa in the other case. So what’s your conclusion. The point is that when a person achieves success in a field, he not only himself feels good, but he is admired by all those around him. So everywhere around him(as well as inside him), atmosphere is positive. And human body(which is too complex to understand) at this point(when he is happy) releases those hormones which tend to increase his efficiency in any task he does. So the point is that he is physically as well as mentally fit to do the next job. So there is a two fold increase in the probability of next job to be successful. And is vice versa in the other case. So just be cool when you go for the next job whatever be the outcome of your previous job. So you see, life never adheres to a linear algorithm, because that way, things go boring. That’s why they always say ‘think positive’.

3 Idiots - The Movie

What a movie. One more attempt of Aamir(I dont know who else deserves the credit) to change a mass opinion. It just forced me to have a glance on the fast running past and the hard coming future. It just made me question myself "What's up man ? What's wrong with you ? How long will this go on ? And how long will I have to wait for you to take the right stance for me ?". And WOW. Here is my answer to every such question "Just hold on, man. Just hold on."
Then I imagine myself standing at the end of my life's timeline. And observe a slothful creature walking this timeline as if someone is pushing him to move foreward. As I keenly observe, every step he takes, he does have options to take a step in the direction he likes. But it appears that he is not interested in taking decisions even for himself. He does not even realise that his procrastination is costing him a lot. And he is accompanied by a lot others like him, who just make him feel better in his current situation. WOW. What a life. Living inside a hedge and dreaming beyond the edge.

Jail - The Movie

One more state of utter confusion. One more flashback of human sororities. One more knock at my conscience. One more instant of my life that proves how worthless I am. Its not human life that is suffering in those situations but it’s a part of myself and that is the part I will never be able to forget. Ohhh God !!!! why can’t I do anything. I don’t want to live a life like everybody else. Live for yourself, die for yourself. When you think about who is responsible for such a condition of theirs, its comes out to be us. We are not the bad guys, but we are the type that watches a 3 hour movie with tears in his eyes, grieves for next half an hour and then move on the circumstances saying it was an emotional movie that tend to arouse our emotions for a while. But be aware of the fact. We are the one who are totally responsible for such an act. We must consider all the residents of this world our brothers and sisters. If u believe only in the blood relations, remember it is just an excuse to run away from your responsibilities. I know the first question you will ask me is that what have I done till date to give us such phenomenal lectures. And I am the one who will say ‘Nothing’. So I am the one who is left speechless and you are the one who is left flawless although we are both wrong. But this has to end. I promise it to myself to end it pretty soon. And in your case, you don’t have to promise me.
